Marketing Associate

Overview

Report directly to the Director of Marketing of Retail, Wholesale and Licensing. The role will support all channels and other team members, including a Senior Manager and Senior Associate. The role requires someone with strong communication skills, business mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit to be able to drive and execute ambitious projects involving several internal & external stakeholders – marketing peers, events, creative, PR, digital and social media, clienteling, CRM, sales, buying, stores, Wholesale and Licensing partners.  Additionally, candidate must have a good understanding of customer data, sales and buying performances and use it to enrich seasonal communication plans.  

Responsibilities

RETAIL

  • Support Director and Senior Manager to create seasonal marketing plans:
    • Become a key partner in the campaign development process by partnering with cross functional teams to gather internal information on product, assortment lists, priorities and buys for each season
    • Partner closely with sales team to understand key business objectives and ensure marketing programs align
    • Create seasonal marketing plans to be distributed to all Regional Directors and sales teams
      • The plans will include in-store/ mall marketing, events, elevated partnerships, special programs, NSO, digital and social media, CRM programs and clienteling.
  • Support execution of all Loyalty Programs
    • Manage brief, timelines and budget with creative
  • Management of all traffic driver retail initiatives i.e., bounce-back programs, promotions, mall advertising and programming
  • Brief and manage all in-store signage and video needs (includes Full-Price and Outlet)
    • Close partnership with the Visual Merchandising & Windows team, to ensure holistic Marketing approach and alignment
  • Analyze marketing initiatives performance; create and distribute recaps/reports for all retail marketing programs
  • Proactively stay up to speed on on/offline competitive activity trends to drive innovation
  • Maintain up to date annual marketing calendars, documenting all initiatives and priorities
  • Support with budget management

 

WHOLESALE:

  • Collaborate with Director to create seasonal marketing plans with key wholesale clients
    • Ensure plans are specific to each partner and support business objectives
    • Close partnership & implementation of strategy with external Wholesale accounts
  • Create seasonal marketing presentation for all accounts to highlight key seasonal messages and product investments
  • Support with managing all digital and social media campaigns
    • Manage campaign timing, creative and reporting
      • Partner with internal creative and sales teams to secure all necessary approvals (product, creative layouts, logo placements, etc.)
  • Support and execute dedicated Wholesale shoots (brief, product alignment, budget, sample and shoot coordination
    • Partner with all cross-functional partners to build shot list to support all digital needs
  • Mange and execute in-store events
  • Create and manage seasonal asset and brand packages per account
  • Maintain seasonal marketing calendars for all categories and accounts
    • Document all marketing support for all partners (catalog, in-store, events, PR, Site, Email, Social, etc.)
  • Manage catalog approval process with Tory’s office
  • Support manage the relationships with key wholesale clients
  • Provide ongoing analysis & key insights to prove campaigns effectiveness & ROI
  • Ensure good understanding of customer data, sales and buying performances and use it to enrich seasonal communication plans
  • Support with budget management
  • Support execution with all special partnerships (Moda, Goop, HauteLook, etc.)
  • Support Marketing Associate with Sport Wholesale accounts (Net-A-Porter, My Theresa, Goop, Neiman Marcus)

LICENSING:

  • Support Marketing Associate with key marketing programs with all partners: Estee Lauder, Luxottica, Fossil and FitBit

ADMINSTRAIVE:

  • Coordinate and schedule meetings (internal and external)
  • Develop and manage all seasonal recaps
  • Maintain marketing files and calendars
    • Ensure calendars are updated bi-weekly and distributed to internal and external partners
  • Manage all email and sample coordination
  • Partner with creative on approvals
  • Assist with meeting preparation as required

Qualifications

  • College graduate
  • 3+ year – Marketing /Brand Management
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strategic thinker who can help evolve our marketing calendars and process
  • Self-starter - strong sense of urgency and initiative
  • Ability to multi task in fast environment, manage multiple project simultaneously and stay calm under pressure of rush project and tight deadlines
  • Work well with multiple teams and partners
  • Excellent product sensibility and market awareness
  • Comfortable interacting and communicating with Senior Executives
