Assistant Stylist

JOB SUMMARY

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Assistant Stylist role supports the end to end production of all on-model product detail photography by maintaining the style out set, creating seasonal boards and style out presentations for approvals, and providing on-set assistance during castings, style outs, and shoots to the Stylist and Style Director. This role will work closely with the Stylist, Style Director, Merchandise Coordinators/Sample Shoots Coordinator, and Producers to ensure that sets and style outs run as seamlessly as possible. The Assistant Stylist role will also work cross-functionally with other teams such as brand marketing, public relations, social, licensing, retail training, and email. The Assistant Stylist will also help manage sample prep, which includes pulling and organizing samples, as well as product knowledge of these samples such as delivery, correctness, and important key investments. The Assistant Stylist role will also help Producer/Sample Shoots Coordinator with AirTable/ Styled With allocation both pre and post shooting. This individual is organized, detail oriented, ambitious, and has excellent time management skills.

Style Outs

  • Partnering with the Sample Shoots Coordinator, ensure all key product is organized by delivery and set up before style outs
  • Prep/steam all samples (RTW/bags, etc.)
  • Assist with styling of key product whether it is a RTW, AOM, or SOM style out
  • Work closely with producers to ensure key product/big investments are styled and prioritized accordingly

Shoots
  • Ensure all shot list product is organized and set up before shooting/fitting
  • Prep/steam all samples (RTW/bags, etc.)
  • Dress model by full look, ensuring all buttons, clasps, etc. are shoot ready
  • Assist on set styling with Stylist and Style Director's direction
  • Partnering with the Sample Shoots Coordinator/Producer, communicate to Stylist/Art Director any priorities to be shot
  • Manage order of looks to be shot for time efficiency and AOM look purposes


Production (Airtable/Samples)
  • Responsible for general product knowledge of samples every season in terms of delivery, big investment pieces, and regional buys
  • Partnering with the Producer/Sample Shoots Coordinator, responsible for reviewing samples with merchants in order to ensure sample accuracy for SMS samples
  • Partnering with the Sample Shoots Coordinator/Merch Coordinators, making sure all SMS samples are separate from W samples to ensure only correct samples are shot
  • Partnering with the Sample Shoots Coordinator/Merch Coordinators, work cross-functionally for sample shares
  • Partnering with the Sample Shoots Coordinator/Producer, ensure all styled product has a shoots calendar in AirTable
  • Partnering with the Sample Shoots Coordinator/Producer, ensure all shot product has correct Styled With information in AirTable
  • Partnering with the Sample Shoots Coordinator and Still Life Producer, understand Still Life shooting schedule for sharing samples


General Assistance/Administrative Duties
  • Put all style out images into presentation for Tory approval
  • Create seasonal boards before style outs begin
  • Maintaining an organized and clean set
  • Ensuring the styling kit is regularly organized and restocked with supplies
  • Assisting Stylist and Style Director with cross-functional asks such as retail training guides, lay down emails, social, brand marketing, and other ad hoc cross-functional requests
  • In down time researching inspirational/swipe imagery and saving onto the server
  • Assisting Stylist and Style Director with ad hoc projects as needed


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Previous styling and/or production background preferred; exposure to fashion and/or merchandising highly desirable
  • Self-starter who is highly organized and detail-oriented and can handle multiple projects in a fast-paced
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel); comfortable with tools in an online environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills; experience working with high-profile clientele strongly preferred
