TomTom Eindhoven location
Eindhoven is, not unlike Amsterdam, one of the most international cities in the Netherlands. And what we've known for years has now finally become apparent to the rest of the world. Eindhoven one of the most inventive cities in Europe. All the factory complexes that were abandoned by electronics giant Philips were seen as eyesores until they were finally repurposed by this once sleepy town of roughly 220,000 inhabitants. Most of these buildings have recently been transformed into vibrant cultural and entrepreneurial centers not to mention pop-up restaurants and offices for graduates of Eindhoven's Design Academy. These creative spaces are scattered across the city, so you're never far away from an example of the city's new-found dynamism.
The Dutch automotive industry has grown considerably in recent years and now encompasses over 40,000 jobs. A large part of the industry is concentrated in Brainport, which is the place of business of world leaders such as TomTom, NXP semiconductors, DAF trucks, VDL, Nedcar, ASML and Philips and top research and training institutes like the Eindhoven University of Technology, TNO Automotive, PDE Automotive, and TTAI.
