National Accounts Wholesale Planner

Job Summary
TOMS is seeking a Business Planner/Sales Analyst to manage sales, inventory and profitability in our National Key Accounts. Their primary responsibility will be to manage inventory plans and levels, lead weekly in-depth sell-thru analysis and ensure accounts remain profitable by closely monitoring markdowns and potential margin exposure.

In this role, you will partner closely with the National Account Manager(s) to ensure all financial, product, and account goals are achieved. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, analytical with strong communication skills and the ability to analyze a large amount of data and make recommendations based on findings.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Partner with the National Account Managers by providing weekly reporting to help manage inventory levels and plans at each key account
  • Analyze weekly sell-thru at each key account using Accelerating Analytics and compile reports summarizing key findings; Lead monthly Retail Performance meeting based on findings
  • Report accurate sales data weekly, monthly, and quarterly to Operations, Sales and Finance teams
  • Continuously search for opportunities, suggest adjustments and revisions to forecasts and plans based on analysis to improve sales and profitability
  • Run all ad hoc reporting at the request of sales management
  • Manage markdown calendar and product lifecycle
  • Maintain profitability through proactive dilution management
  • Develop seasonal buy plans by division pre market
  • Analyze door performance, including GM, gross sales, product assortment mix and profitability, focusing on regional opportunities
  • Partner with National Account Managers on contract (bulk) management, ensuring contracts are properly capturing sales trend
  • Partner with Supply Chain team to help drive seasonal product forecasts
  • Build new reporting models with a focus on improving existing processes and making recommendations about new processes
  • Support sales team by providing sales data and reports in preparation for sales meetings, events and other sales-related meetings

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Advanced understanding of retail math; margin calculation, IMU, profitability, and product turn
  • Versed in both retail & wholesale planning
  • Dedicated and fast-moving - you're known to operate with passion, urgency, focus, and discipline

Education & Experience
  • 2+ years of service in the wholesale footwear industry or a similar related wholesale environment
  • 4+ years of service working with sales, or a closely related field with proven experience in creating and maintaining reports and spreadsheets
  • Key Account Executive/ Buyer experience preferred
  • Previous department experience is required
