ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:
- Prepares Business License Roll forward
- Assists with Sales Tax Back sheets, Copy and Paste spreadsheets & print computer made returns (Sales Tax Prep Work)
- Prepares quarterly corporate tax estimates
- Prepares quarterly roll forwards – federal, state, and franchise
- Puts ACHs together, make sure they are saved and listed on A/P keying sheet
- Acts as backup for A/P keying & checks weekly to make sure all has been keyed & all A/P checks returned
- Assist with sales tax, monthly
- Assist with Unemployment Tax Filings quarterly and make sure all new hires filed and all items complete in a timely manner
- Acts as backup for new hire tax setup
- Verify all attachments get added to employees in HD and they are listed properly for U/I filing
- Completes analysis of tax related penalties and interest and maintains outstanding refund
- Assist with Annual Reporting filings as needed
- Assist as needed on special projects
- All other duties as assigned.

WORK EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 year’s tax experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Dependable and team oriented
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Willingness to learn
EQUIPMENT / SOFTWARE USED
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) required
- Computer, calculator, fax machine, telephone, copier, printer, & scanner
- AS400, Payroll Software, & State Portals
PERSONAL CONTACTS
- Interacts with company employees, executives, managers, sales professionals and vendors
- Interacts with Payroll to maintain tax files and answer questions, States regarding tax problems or questions, sometimes upset employees to explain tax issues.
