Part-Time Operations Associate

    • Reedley, CA

Use your program operations and communications skills to end educational inequality!

TNTP seeks a part-time Operations Associate for our RootsLA team. This position is based in Los Angeles, California and is available beginning in June - July.

Who We Are

TNTP is a national nonprofit founded by teachers that believes our nation's public schools can offer all children an excellent education. Today we're a diverse team from a wide range of fields, united by a fierce commitment to helping school systems end educational inequality and achieve their goals for students. We work at every level of the public education system to attract and train talented teachers and school leaders, ensure rigorous and engaging classrooms, and create environments that prioritize great teaching and accelerate student learning.

The RootsLA Teaching Pathway is a new teaching fellowship which recruits and trains diverse college-aged Angelenos who want to return to their community to make a difference in the classroom. The fellowship will introduce college juniors from underrepresented backgrounds to teaching and the education reform movement, serving as an early pipeline to teach in L.A. schools after graduation. In our second year, we will train almost 75 potential teachers in an immersive summer training experience and provide an opportunity to earn a job offer before heading into senior year. The RootsLA team will work with charter school partners to engage fellows throughout their final college year and ensure they are ready to lead their own classroom in the Fall of 2020.

What You'll Do
As an Operations Associate, you will manage the communications, logistics, and school operations for RootsLA. You will collaborate closely with TNTP staff, build meaningful relationships with a variety of program stakeholders, develop and maintain program management tools and processes and ensure coordination across projects. • Deliver crisp, clean messages. Whether in writing or on the phone, your communications are articulate and concise.
