Sr Manager, IT Solution Owner

Works directly with the business to ensure that solutions satisfy business needs, proper requirements are established, and solutions are created (via either in-house or external development) and implemented to production successfully. The Sr. Manager, IT Solution Owner, will manage teams of employees and contractors responsible for projects from inception to delivery, influencing teams across business analysis, software development, QA, and project management. This role will support solution delivery for our Accounting, Finance and HR business customers.

Enterprise Core Competencies

Requires competency in customer focus, change & innovation, strategic thinking, relationship building & influencing, IT solutions delivery, results focus and inspirational leadership and team management.9+ years of IT solution leadership experience

Minimum of 10+ years in an Information Technology leadership role with the following: proven experience with Teradata, Tableau, Denodo, Business Objects, HDFS, Hadoop, Analytics, Data Warehousing and BI, or equivalent experience

Strong background in data relationships, data mining and quantitative vs. qualitative analytics

Required knowledge and experience in BI/Reporting with Data Warehousing and Big Data

Proven ability to solve problems creatively and resourcefully

Expert communicator who can lead and manage senior level relationships across organizational boundaries.

Working knowledge of Agile and traditional SDLC methodologies.

Experience with organizational change management.

Desired

Experience desired preferably as a manager or senior manager large or medium sized companies with experience in leading cross functional teams of employees contractors and vendors for large scale IT projects.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or other Technical related field or equivalent experience required.

Implements BI industry best practices and providing mentoring to other Solution Owners and Functional Analysts team members.

Experience managing personnel and building high performing teams.

Drive agile delivery including prototyping and ongoing backlog grooming.

Analyzes complex business needs presented by the BI user, Accounting, Finance and HR user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions.

Experience with executive-level communications, tracking project interdependencies, communicating issues & risk, and managing relationships with business team executives at Sr. Manager, Director, VP and SVP level.

Take action based upon voice of the customer and customer satisfaction results.

Draft and implement development processes, management plans and contract deliverable schedules (baselines), operational troubleshooting and training.

Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.

Directs operations in executing production tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds customer expectations with either Agile or SDLC approaches.

Directs and prioritizes the work load of personnel on the team while being accountable for resource allocation and project capacity management.

Represents the IT function at customer review meetings.

Performs liaison duties between users, operations, and programming personnel in the areas of systems design, modifications or trouble shooting.

Work with business teams and other EIT teams to align on priorities and deliver against these priorities.
