Job Description

- Management of the Data Engineering team
- Collaborate with other internal team to define business needs and priorities
- Create, manage, and communicate plans and roadmaps for the work of the Data Engineering team
- Provide thought leadership, and technical and business solution advice to Data Engineer team members
Responsibilities

- Experience designing and building self-service analytics and big data solutions using cloud technologies (e.g., EMR, Aurora, Redshift, Glue, S3, SWF, Quicksight etc.)- Leading/coaching senior engineers and/or managers
- Demonstrated ability to manage global projects or programs including work prioritization, planning, and coordination
- Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
- Ability to work cross-functionally, building and maintaining trust with internal stakeholders
- Experience with the Software development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methods
Qualifications

Bachelors degree or higher in an analytical area such as Computer Science, Management information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or similar field

Preferred: Master degree in math, computer science, engineering, finance, statistics, or a related technical field &/or MBA

8+ years experience working with large scale complicated datasets; experience with relevant technologies and of enterprise-level system implementations, such as data warehouses, ETL automation, BI visualization tools, and cloud-based data management tools

Minimum 7+ years of managing data engineering teams

Cloud platform certification(s) (example: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, OR Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA))

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• High School Diploma or GED
