T-Mobile USA is a leading provider of digital GSM/GPRS, UMTS, and LTE wireless voice and data technology standards. Senior Engineers, Software located in Bellevue, Washington will participate as members of the Engineering Intelligence and Analytics team responsible for Big Data Software Engineering.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develop complex analytic queries, store procedures, triggers, user-defined functions, views, Extract-Transform-Load (ETL), and data processing jobs on large data sets from various sources and formats.

Develop and implement solutions and reports using organizational data warehouse, data marts, and operational data stores.

Profile, optimize, and scale queries, indexes, ETL, and data processing jobs.

Build relationships across the network planning, performance, and intelligence teams including the support, systems, and engineering customers to ensure high data availability and quality.

Analyze telecommunication data ingested into the database system by looking at data from the following platforms: ASN.1, Cisco Event Data Records (EDR), Cisco, Ericsson, TAS, RCS, MMSC, SMSC Call Detail Records (CDR), and TrueCall Location Service Records (LSR).

Skill requirements:

(1) developing complex, high-performant data queries in multiple environments using Hadoop, Apache Hive, SparkSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Netezza or Teradata.

(2) developing complex, high-performant Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) and data processing jobs using Apache Storm, Pentaho Data Integration, Control-M, or SSIS.

(3) creating data models, including data dictionary and source-to-target mapping, as the code development is created.

(4) developing and optimizing database schemas.

Experience and education requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience.
