Sr Consultant, Org Development

Job Description:

As a Sr. Consultant of OD focused on driving business success, this key role provides OD project leadership, partnership and support to the business, ensuring achievement of business strategies. This includes building relationships based on trust and credibility, and the flawless execution of OD projects so that objectives and deadlines are met successfully and with high quality. Requires excellent customer service focus, decision-making, strategic thinking, creative and innovative problem-solving, project leadership abilities and presence, as well as stellar communication skills, positive attitude, and executive maturity. Independent judgment and discretion are highly prized qualities as most duties performed are of a highly critical and confidential nature. Ability to produce high quality work, be flexible, prioritize business demands, anticipate needs, be proactive, and take initiative is also crucial.

Responsibilities:

Requires competency in customer focus, change & innovation, strategic thinking, relationship building & influencing, talent management, results focus and inspirational leadership.
Essential Functions

  • Lead complex and strategic organization development consulting engagements with multiple C-level or VP client groups from design through implementation
  • Work collaboratively with HR Crews in identifying business client challenges and creating OD projects that improve client organizational capabilities
  • Form, lead, and optimize project teams of consultants and Employee Success Partners in the design and delivery of projects
  • Contract with executive clients for consulting project outcomes
  • Provide consultation and subject matter expertise in the following areas:
    • Org Design: Facilitate business leadershipââ,¬â„¢s definition, evaluation, and implementation of new organizational structure
    • Change Management: Consult with business leaders through the whole change lifecycle, including analysis of change impacts, managing stakeholders, and development of a transition plan
  • Facilitate the creation of enhancements to strategy, structure, process, culture, or community. Own overall roadmap for organizational assessment and plan for improvements
  • Research, collect data, and analyze information (focus groups, surveys, appreciative inquiry) to assess the current state and educate leaders in techniques to improve and sustain organizational excellence (at a team and/or business unit/enterprise level)
  • Create and implement best-in-class team and organizational tools and interventions
  • Work effectively at both the macro, strategic level and the hands-on, applied, tactical level



Qualifications:

  • 8-10+ years experience as a strong OD Consultant with an emphasis in organization design, change management, and team effectiveness
  • Demonstrated experience working with senior management, including C-suite
  • Outstanding service orientation; sense of urgency; high-level of personal integrity
  • Ability to work well under pressure and flexible in adapting and responding to changing situations
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions and cultural integration
  • Ability to work independently, but a strong effective team player; commitment to results; solutions oriented; superior organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present, train, influence, and negotiate
  • Strong interpersonal and partnering skills, along with project management and program development skills; effective partnering with T-Mobile stakeholders to achieve success in attracting and retaining the best talent
  • Expert in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
    Desired
  • Experience with the Action-Research consulting or Process Facilitation consulting approach preferred
  • Certification in PROSCI or Kotter change management methodologies

Education
Minimum Required
  • Bachelors Degree. Business, Human Resources or related field
  • Masterââ,¬â„¢s degree in HR, Organization Development, I/O Psychology, or related business field preferred
