Responsibilities primarily include participation in federal and state income tax compliance and planning, ASC 740 provision, and other tax special projects.

Highly motivated individual with demonstrated ability to apply advanced understanding of complex, technical, multi-state tax concepts.

  • Excellent oral / written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior analytical / problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in tax research tools and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to manage, motivate and develop staff.
  • Ability to identify, research, and effectively communicate findings of complex tax issues with a demonstrated understanding of potential impacts for current, prior and future tax reporting, FIN 48, FAS 5, SOX controls, and other tax disciplines (i.e., transaction and property tax).


  • 5+ years income tax experience in a multi-state environment, emphasis on tax compliance, research and planning.
  • Proven people development and coaching skills.
  • Strong foundation in general accounting principles
  • Corporate, partnership and LLC tax experience.
  • Experience with SAP or other first tier ERP software preferred.
  • Experience with tax reporting software (OneSource Income Tax / OneSource Apportionment) and research tools preferred


  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting.
  • Master’s Degree in Tax or graduate Finance degree preferred.
  • CPA certification preferred

  • Primary responsibility for the preparation of Federal and state corporate tax returns and filings.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of workpapers and documentation to support tax filings.
  • Application of income tax reporting guidance (ASC 740) to determine the appropriate accounting given different fact patterns.
  • Develop a thorough working knowledge of the tax compliance software systems.
  • Analyze and researchtax issues and develop technical analysis and documentation to support federal and state filing positions.
  • Support IRS and state income tax audits by preparing responses and appropriate schedules.
  • Remain current in legislative and tax policy initiatives that have significant impact to the company.
  • Participate in streamlining and improving income tax reporting processes through automation.
  • Support tax and other cross-functional initiatives, as appropriate.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.
