The Analytics Senior Analyst has three functional purposes with the organization: 1) Functional Analytics 2), Spend Management, and 3) Sourcing Analytics. He/she will be responsible for using analytical tools and approaches that increase the organization's understanding of the costs and benefits of a specific initiative to maximize the end value achieved. He/she also needs to understand the systems and procedures in the procurement organization that ensure adequate tracking and compliance to goals, while establishing a solid foundation for the team to generate new opportunities to deliver value.

  • Performance Management i.e. periodic reports/ dashboards, e.g., spend coverage, sourcing velocity, category yields, compliance, investments, period costs, continuous improvement, business satisfaction
  • Pipeline and Project Management: i.e. pipeline development/management and spend analytics, project status tracking, benefits forecasting, and benefits validation and sign-off

  • Sourcing/Negotiation i.e. scenario analysis, supplier evaluation, outlier analysis, designed to cost, collaborative optimization, coverage analysis, 2x2 analysis, savings model design, designed to value, and best bid price analysis
  • Demand Management i.e. predictive analytics, spec optimization, complexity management, and requirements gathering
  • Market Intelligence i.e. industry and supply market assessments, supplier identification and evaluation


Minimum Required

  • Relevant experience analyzing data or creating analytical solutions to business problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate leadership in managing projects and spearheading new initiatives
  • Able to see the bigger picture and not get lost in the data
  • Knowledge of analytical tools such as MS Office, SQL, statistical programs
  • Experience in a multi-level organization in a cross-functional capacity
  • 3-5 years equivalent work experience in relevant procurement and/or analytics role

Desired Analytical Skills

  • Data Management: SQL Server, Oracle, Hadoop, Spark, HANA, Greenplum, Teradata (or similar)
  • Decision Science: SPSS, SAS, R, Python, Alteryx, JMP, AIMMS, RapidMiner (or similar)
  • Visualization: Tableau, Spotfire, PowerBI, PowerView, Birst, Qlik (or similar)
  • Procurement Specific Tools: Ariba, SAP, Trade Extensions, Coupa (or similar)

Essential Functions

  • Extract, cleanse and transform data to conduct analyses
  • Translate analytics into actionable content for stakeholders to enable decision-making
  • Develop & maintain reporting for various stakeholders
  • Work closely with category managers to understand business requirements
  • Identify and use relevant analytical tools in the marketplace
  • Develop in-house analytical tools customized to meet specific organizational needs


Minimum Required

  • Bachelors Degree in quantitative discipline

License or Certification

CPSM® ISM Certification or similar procurement certification

At least 18 years of age. Legally authorized to work in the United States. High School Diploma or GED.
