Join us on the T-Mobile Digital Promotions team and help us transform the way we do promotions. We are building a modern, RESTful API-based engine in the cloud to deliver new, creative promotion campaigns. As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will be critical to the success of the development, delivery and support of this new platform. Will will look for you to leverage and extend existing test automation tools and frameworks to drive to a high-level of product quality and consistency through automation. You must be comfortable doing so in a fast-paced, agile environment and look forward to helping build a new development pipeline using products like Slack, Rally, docker, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Chef. We are looking for an SDET with strong experience in building automated testing capabilities for CI/CD pipelines, including knowledge of testing for distributed systems on public and private clouds. Knowledge and experience of Test-Driven Development is recommended. You will be at the heart of our hands-on J2EE software development team, leading a vendor/partner test automation team to inject innovation and accountability into product design and development.
Minimum 5 Years Application Test Experience.
Minimum 3 years professional experience automating test cases within an agile team.
Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle & Software Testing concepts.
Professional experience in developing/maintaining/improving test automation.
Ability to work with previously written code and make modifications as necessary.
Professional experience in any language (Java, Python, C#, etc.)
Excellent problem Solving skills.
Knowledge of Cloud Computing platforms (such as AWS).
Working knowledge of CI Tools (such as Jenkins).
Knowledge of RESTful Web services.
Experience mentoring other members of test team.
Experience developing in Java is a plus.
Experience in the wireless industry a plus.
Education - Minimum Required
High School Diploma/GED
Requires competency in customer focus, change & innovation, organized design, strategic thinking, and relationship building with a focus on results.
High level of proficiency in at least one test automation framework required.
Translate business/functional requirements and user stories into lightweight, documented test plan.
Utilize development skills to build (code) test automation functionality per test plan, with deliverables to include automated test results/coverage.
Groom & maintain automated test packages and automation plans for ongoing systems enhancements.
Participate as a member of "one team" for after hours support as required for production releases and to respond as part of Tier 4 support team for production issues.
Meet project schedules by providing accurate estimates of effort required for test automation deliverables, providing updates on progress to agile team, and escalating issues that may affect project success.
Maintain technical skills and expertise through continuing education and training.
Collaborate/Partner with other teams including Enterprise Testing, Release Planning and Management, Business Systems Analysis, Project Management, and Application Support on successful delivery of systems enhancements.
