Payroll Analyst

Perform a variety of multi-state payroll functions in preparation/transmit distribution, and reconciliation of payroll, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Ensures payroll is processed with speed and accuracy. Serves as liaison to payroll team members, Business Partners, and third party payroll vendors to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company specific pay policies.


Responsibilities
Requires competency in customer focus, change & innovation, strategic thinking, relationship building & influencing, talent management, results focus and inspirational leadership.

•Preparation and facilitation of biweekly transmit (pre-audits, load files, time processing, actual transmit, post-audits, etc.)
•Reconcile and audit various payroll related activities and investigate variances, then train/coach Specialists on how to take corrective action
•Work closely with technical departments to implement process improvements, test system changes, and lead special projects within the payroll department
•Research and resolve Accounting variances resulting from Payroll Transmit


Qualifications
•Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience with multi-state payroll, payroll tax or Garnishment administration
•Demonstrate knowledge of current HR and Payroll Regulations (I-9, FLSA, IRS)
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate technical information effectively with all levels of management
•Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Visio, Excel, and Access). Ability to create and follow project plans, track milestones
•Ability to effectively manage vendor relationships
•Experience leading projects or initiatives
•Demonstrated analytical experience
•Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
•Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Builds productive internal/external working relationships
•Normally receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments
•Work under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment
•Moderate skills with high level of proficiency
•High School Diploma/GED


Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
