This is a technical management position which provides leadership and direction to professional staff that are responsible for T-Mobile's network/systems design, quality, evolution and strategy. They typically manage multiple functional areas. Develops quality plans to align with business objectives and establishes activities/projects that drive goal achievement and collaborates in setting strategic direction for their functional area.

Requires competency in customer focus, change & innovation, strategic thinking, relationship building & influencing, talent management, results focus and inspirational leadership.

Expert RF Design experience spanning at least 10 years and covering multiple technologies, spectrum bands, and deployment techniques.

Proven track record of developing and growing engineer careers.

Ability to direct resources to established policies and management guidelines.

Ability to lead and conduct planning/resource management

Leadership & management skills, including strategic thinking, self-awareness, and empathy

Interpersonal skills including listening skills and ability to build consensus across teams

Strong demonstrated technical writing and presentation skills to larger team and senior management and executives across a wide variety of disciplines

Ability to oversee complex, multi-discipline projects from inception to completion.

Must be able to perform duties off hours when required.

10+ years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate relevant work experience.

This position is instrumental in the successful deployment of new technologies to macro sites across the south region. The RF Planning Manager leads spectrum utilization and deployment strategy through partnership with national and market teams to meet customer and technology demands and timelines. Additionally, the RF Planning Manager will oversee site hardware designs to include balancing between strategic coverage objectives, budget, and customer need. The RF Planning manager will provide hardware forecasts, timelines, and budgets as necessary. A key aspect of this position will be to oversee, provide necessary feedback, and follow up with other teams on hardware technical requirements before and during their deployment as well as communicate these requirements to field teams to ensure accurate hardware deployment. The RF Planning manager will be responsible for coaching and mentoring engineers across the team they oversee as well as other teams as necessary. Career development of subordinate team members is of paramount importance, the candidate selected will demonstrate a track record of supporting and fostering development in others.

Skilled at management of RFI/RFP process.

Ability to create and oversee Scope of Work statements across a variety of projects

Familiarity with managerial accounting, budget forecasting and budget tracking and statistical analysis

Able to lead research and publication of technical papers.

Strong proficiency with MS Office.

Ability to provide direction and oversee development of reporting suites to cover all aspects of RF Planning

Must have a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering or Informational Technology, or a related field is required.
