Technical Skills

Applicant’s experience must include:

  • Technical expertise in building ETL pipelines, Batch and Real-Time ingestion frameworks.
  • Technical expertise with broad range of Big Data technologies including Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Oozie, Apache NiFi, and/or YARN;.
  • Technical expertise with Relational Database Management Systems [RDBMS] and Data warehouse solutions including Teradata, Oracle, and/or MS SQL Server;
  • Deep understanding of Cloud Platforms including Amazon Web Services [AWS], Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform;
  • Broad understanding of Information Security standards, policies and tools;

  • Skills and knowledge in each of the following areas: Project Management, Change Management, Release Management, Configuration Management, Systems Development Life Cycle Methodologies, Quality Assurance and Testing, Requirements Gathering, and Systems Analysis and Design;
  • Strong working knowledge of development life cycle management;
  • Developing large-scale business systems applications;
  • Management experience that includes leadership, planning and co-ordination of development work of 2 large projects.
  • Experience working with on/off-shore teams to produce quality and timely results.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems, related field or its equivalent and 8 years of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems, related field or its equivalent and 6 years of relevant work experience.

Essential Functions

  • Define Strategic Vision, Roadmap and Execution Plans to deliver High quality products on time and within budget.
  • Work with Business and IT leadership throughout the strategic planning process. Participate in the process to prioritize and scope future projects and initiatives.
  • Work with Business and IT leadership to prioritize tactical issues to address immediate business needs while maintaining strategic direction.
  • Recommend new Technology Directions in collaboration with Design and Enterprise Architecture teams.
  • Guide technical managers and other technologists to make sound decisions that support company priorities.
  • Plan Staffing needs and allocations to support projects, initiatives and support.
  • Communicate effectively with IT management, Business Partners and peers.
  • Provide input for departmental budgets and work to manage operational and capital expenses in order to meet budget.
  • Constantly improve the Development Process, tools and methodologies used in the development group.
