Manager, Credit Risk System Delivery

T-Mobile has an opening for a Credit Risk Delivery Manager in the Portfolio Credit Risk (PCR) department. T-Mobile’s Portfolio Credit Risk team is responsible for assessing credit risk of new applicants (both individual consumer and business) as well as managing the credit & bad debt risk of the existing customer portfolio. The team heavily focuses on using its analytical expertise to gain deep understanding of customer behavior and using the customer insights to drive positive change within the organization.

Your Role:

As the Credit Risk Delivery Manager within the PCR team, your role will be to design and maintain an optimized originations platform. You will be required to manage all implementations in the platform. You must be able to wear multiple hats: as the technical delivery manager, the liaison between the business and multiple suppliers. You must have a strong qualification to design and solution multiple workflows. The Delivery Manager must have the ability to develop strong partnership/relationships with key business partners and leadership, work up against tight timelines, and execute flawless implementations. You will help drive enhancements to our credit decision process and policies, exploring new solutions that will support Marketing and Financial Service projects. In many cases, you will participate and have input to projects at every stage from idea/hypothesis to development and implementation.

Essential Skills:

  • 5+ years experience of technical delivery implementation on a credit originations platform in Telecommunciations is required

2+ years experience working on technical Telecommunications projects within the marketing, point of sales, or inventory fulfillment space *Project Management experience preferred

Strong communication and presentation required Proven record for the progress and management of deliveries for new functionality and enhancements

Technical Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience as a Business Systems Analyst, QAT and/or Developer a plus
  • Intermediate to Advanced Proficiency in SQL a plus

Beginner to intermediate proficiency in at least one programing language * Advanced computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access required

  • BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Mathematics. Statistics or related degree required
  • Project Management Certification a plus

Thorough understanding of the development lifecycle and familiarity with project management concepts

  • Ensure releases are detailed, delivered timely, within budget, and without issues
  • Responsible for day to day activities and reporting progress to business, internal and external teams
  • Strong ability to influence middle and senior management across multiple teams
  • Work closely with platform provider to align and deliver business objectives
  • Vendor Management, Resource Management, Process and Delivery Management
  • Fully engaged with delivery teams, providing proper notifications of changes and timelines
  • Review the delivery process for effectiveness and efficiency
  • Organize team structure to ensure optimal delivery
  • Nurture and develop skills within existing resources; identifying areas for improvement as well as fostering and growing strengths within the team
  • Ability to contribute input in both technical and business centric discussions
