Understanding of common LAN/WAN topologies and transport methods is required. This includes but is not limited to: TCP/IP, EIGRP, OSPF, RIP, BGP4, IS-IS, DNS, DDNS, DHCP, BootP, SNMP, 10/100/1000/10000 Ethernet, VLANs (ISL & 802.1Q), Spanning Tree, MLT, HSRP, VRRP, TACACS, Radius, VPN, IPSec, DS1, DS3, OCXX, SONET, XDSL, MPLS-TE. WiFi
- Knowledge on VPN, Security Technologies, Practices and Threat is a plus
- Basic understanding of Wireless Network Architecture, Technologies and concepts (LTE, VOLTE, IMS, UMTS, HSPA)
- Basic understanding of applicable Wireless industry standards. i.e. 3GPP, ITUT, ANSI, etc
- Knowledge on VoIP, SIP, VoLTE, BGP, MPLS, Metro-E
VISIO drawing skills.
CCNA Certification preferred. Certified CCNP a plus.
Some Technical Writing and presentation skills
Able to articulate written and verbal technical strategies
Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure
Good problem solving skills
Strong proficiency with MS Office
Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to build consensus across teams
