Assoc Segment Marketing Manager

This person will need to be comfortable rolling up their sleeves with data, spreadsheets and models. This person will thrive on the challenges inherent in dissecting complex problems, utilizing facts/data to derive conclusions and delivering clear recommendations to improve results. Skill Sets To be successful in this role you will need to be a self-starter has a passion for learning. You will need the ability to extract the big picture through data modeling and analysis and formulate robust viewpoints. You need the ability to search out and dig up the information you need from disparate sources so you can meet requirements. This position also requires excellent presentation and communication skills as it will be required to effectively manage cross-functional relationships.

  • 3+ years in business, marketing or financial analysis experience
  • 3+ years in one or more of the following categories: software/hardware, web, telecommunications, consumer electronics, or consumer packaged goods, with a focus on Marketing, Product Management, Finance or Sales
  • Experience in writing customer and business requirements that clearly articulate the Marketing or business need
  • Experience in producing reports and presentations, including for senior level audiences, which clearly articulate issues and guide the decision making process
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to convey business and technical concepts to subject matter experts and non-technical professionals
  • Ability to present compelling business cases to leadership and key stakeholders
  • Experience with statistical packages, EDW or modeling toolsets (SAS, SQL, Python, Teradata, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience with consumer/market research and turning analysis and insights into a business strategy
  • Experience managing critical, urgent issues and delivering solutions to address them.
  • Strong understanding of voice and data services
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships

Desired

  • Some management experience preferred but not required
  • Quantitative concentration (finance, engineering, economics, statistics)

Education

Minimum Required

Bachelors Degree

  • Key contributor of the future Marketing channel performance strategy
  • Assist team to develop business initiatives that deliver on that strategy
  • Ensures maximum market potential through in-depth understanding of customer needs, industry trends, and market requirements for current, new and future markets
  • Creates dashboards for senior management with relevant customer and business metrics to track outcomes
  • Support business team leaders to continually optimize the channel expansion plan and to ensure field teams have the tools needed to do their jobs effectively
  • Conduct economic and data analysis that provide fact based viewpoints around approaches at an array of channel performance related subjects
  • Specific analyses include promotional cannibalization, localized predictive models of channel performance and ability to work with cross-functional groups to deliver keen insights on complex business issues
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of strategic frameworks, industry trends and corporate and customer drivers in order to improve, reengineer or maintain company performance
