This role is part of the Universal Service Programs team with direct responsibility to interact with various teams in and out of the Company to optimize the value of participating in state and federal Universal Service Fund (USF) mechanisms. The Analyst, Regulatory role supports the Company by being a strategic thinker who can manage journal entries, prepare and review monthly account reconciliations, and assist in various other activities all while ensuring compliance and mitigating risk in all universal service fund related customer activities. This role is also responsible to keep abreast of and provide analysis for regulatory rules and developments to minimize the assessment burden and maximizing cash flow, in addition to assembling information required for and submitting various internal/external reports or data, understanding and communicating clearly to others various USF requirements and processes, and supporting key initiatives for the team or business partners as assigned.2+ years Finance and/or Analytics work experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

2+ years Wireless Telecommunications Industry

Microsoft Office Suite experience, including 2+ years Excel and Access

Microsoft Visio and Powerpoint Experience

  • Prepare and review various journal entries for the accurate recording of assessment liabilities and assets, prepare and review tax payment requests, and regularly review and reconcile various accounts in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls and procedures.
  • Maintain record of all USF program related information in secure and organized manner, including implementing and maintaining databases as well as data tracking tools that monitor activities and enable swift reporting of key metrics/information.
  • Based on business need, engage cross-functionally in projects to ensure that revenue and expense recognition meets USF needs.
  • Monitor applicable rules and requirements and comply in all activities, raising potential issues of non-compliance to leadership immediately and partnering to resolve matters, proactively communicating real or perceived barriers to compliance with stringent deadlines.
