The Information Security Analyst, working with in the Corporate Information Security will serve as a technical consultant as part of a Cyber Risk Management team. They will engage with Business customers and Technology partners on behalf of Corporate Information Security (CIS) to identify and validate cyber risks and provide technical recommendations and solutions. Responsibilities will include understanding business driven projects that involve information security, networking, applications, access management and cloud computing. They will be responsible for understanding the Business Unit's processes and priorities and working with them to manage business impact and threats, through a risk based methodology. Ensures through positive engagement that business goals are met in a secure and compliant manner, according to industry standard regulations. This technical consultant will have strong verbal and written communication skills with an aptitude for IT processes, IT Compliance and risk management.

Minimum

  • GOOD VERBAL AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS WITH DIVERSE CROSS FUNCTIONAL GROUPS
  • KNOWLEDGE OF INFORMATION SECURITY POLICIES AND REGULATORY CONTROLS (PER TEAM FUNCTION)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in info security technology or related field

Desired

  • KNOWLEDGE OF CURRENT TRENDS AND DEVELOPMENTS IN THE AREA OF INFO SECURITY
  • Good understanding and/or experience applying COBIT, ITIL or NIST frameworks
  • Understand general Telecom technology

Conduct technical Security Risk assessments

  • Understand the operations of the business and discover/validate potential IT security risks for the organization.
  • Assist the risk owners with understanding appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Assist with implementing, documenting, tracking and reporting on all remediation activities.
  • Navigate through complex and fast moving IT operational environment to complete assessments.
  • Participate in third party vendor risk assessments.
  • Familiarity with any of the following: IT Security Compliance and Audit management - Regulatory requirements/frameworks (PCI, SOX, NIST, ISO, ITIL) & direct participation in leading/managing audits.

Serve as a technically proficient Information Security resource/consultant

  • Familiar or proficient in one or more domains - Network security, Application security, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Incident Response/recovery, Data Protection, Encryption and Virtualization
  • Assist with technical implementation/guidance for Security projects
  • Serve as a point of contact for Information Security on implementing, managing, assessing and evaluating Cloud computing environments (SaaS, PaaS & IaaS)

Report on Information Security Risk management portfolio

  • Assist with clearly communicating assessment results to business owners (written, verbally and/or using visualizations). Document issues with detail and clarity.
  • The ability to act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to technology teams and technology constraints to the business
  • Be able to work with very technical individuals within our business lines.
  • Be an individual contributor on specific projects but be a team player for the larger Risk Management vision (bring in the technical skills and background to assist and strengthen the other teams within CIS)
