  • Strong foundation in accounting theory/policies
  • Ability to research accounting guidance and apply policies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to Accounting Leadership and other Sr. Management employees (Directors and VP's)
  • Ability to deal with complex accounting issues and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Work experience in accounting and reporting systems such as SAP, BPC or Blackline, a plus
  • Self-motivated, positive work attitude and an eagerness to learn
  • Strong organizational and time management skills including multi-tasking and prioritizing workload
  • Proficient in MS Excel

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; Master's degree a plus
  • Public accounting experience a plus
  • 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Lead the enforcement of the accounting policy related to internal use software by working collaboratively with the Enterprise Information Technology (EIT), EIT FP&A and Accounting Policy teams
  • Work proactively and continuously to strengthen the internal control environment associated with the internal use software process
  • Evaluate vendor contracts; determine appropriate accounting treatment and provide necessary guidance to EIT Business & FP&A teams, wherever required
  • Review documentation provided by EIT Project Managers and approve creation of appropriate project codes in SAP.
  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities; work with appropriate team members / partners in implementing them
  • Meet all month-end close deadlines related to:
  • Review and posting of journal entries
  • Perform and provide insightful analysis of variances in the MFR (Monthly Financial Reporting Package)
  • Preparation/approval of assigned Disclosures/PBC's/Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Work closely with company auditors, provide them necessary information and actively support timely completion of financial audits
  • Communicate and resolve open issues with finance teams
  • Assist team members and work on ad-hoc projects as assigned
