Front End Developer - Team Lead
In partnership with the Manager of Front End Development, you will own and share responsibilities for leading and mentoring Front End Development teams. You will lead through example, managing multiple, concurrent projects while being the resident, technical guru – ensuring quality deliverables against strict deadlines, meeting customer, company and product vision and goals. You need to demonstrate coding competence to review and critique others code and drive the technical direction of the teams. 

 

These are large, complex, high-transaction volume, consumer applications, so we are looking for someone who has 6+ years’ web development experience for consumer applications, plus 2+ years’ recent experience as a UI Team Lead of both onshore and offshore teams (5+ people).

 

Position Summary

Your responsibilities will range from: partnering cross-functionally with development, product, project, sales, marketing and other teams; create architecture and high-level design artifacts; define technical requirements and finalize data models; develop, document and communicate workflows, business analysis; obtain sign-off from key stakeholders; estimate engineering effort; plan and implement application rollout, and evaluate product performance; and, other duties as required or directed.

 

About You; Required…

  • You should be able to cite your URLs and previous work
  • Expert in JavaScript
  • Advanced-to-expert level experience in: Angular or React; Responsive web design; Grunt or Gulp; Package managers like npm, bower, yarn; Git; Interacting with RESTful web services; SASS or LESS
  • Strong knowledge and experience in HTML, CSS, responsive mobile and web design
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or closely related field
