About the Team:
Our global legal team provides key support for all TikToks innovative initiatives, state-of-the-art products, and integrated platforms servicing our global video market. We help our technological and business teams enable their vision by providing integrated legal guidance and support. The TikTok Legal Team is growing fast and is seeking highly experienced, bright, and capable legal professionals to join the team. One of the critical challenges is the need for our team to provide exceptional legal support for the Data Privacy and Data Protection matters involving TikTok.

Responsibilities:
- Lead privacy analysis and assessments of the Company's ecommerce products throughout development cycle to ensure compliance with local and global privacy and data protection laws;
- Assist in setting up or improving cross-functional privacy programs;
- Coordinate and drive cross-stakeholder alignment regarding implementation of privacy requirements and proposed remediations;
- Work with legal counsel, information security, and product teams to develop and implement global privacy standards;
- Develop and implement operational improvements to improve effectiveness & efficiency of product assessment process.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree;
- 4+ years work experience, including privacy or information security compliance;
- Experience, and more importantly personal interest, in technology, social network, internet, and all things digital is ideal;
- Experience with analyzing technology products to determine their compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as identifying and driving remediation actions (specific program management experience in privacy or security compliance preferred);
- Detail oriented and ability to coordinate across multiple teams/countries;
- Strong sense of problem solving and proactive work ethic;
- Determination to face tough challenges in a fast-paced environment while keeping a sense of humor;
- CIPP certification is a plus.

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $90250 - $133000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
