Lead Engineer
The Engineering job designs information systems that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. Under limited supervision, this job is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the organization's operating systems.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Formulates system scope through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.


• Evaluates and implements changes to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.


• Reviews flow charts, models, and procedures and feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.

• University (Degree) Preferred

• 5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred

macOS Engineering & Operations Engineer will be responsible for engineering, support & upkeep of macOS environment at TIAA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Strong knowledge on overall Apple Eco-system
• Act as the technical expert for macOS Environment.
• 5+ Years’ experience on macOS Application Packaging, Patching & OS Imaging
• 5+ Years’ experience on Apple MDM Tools like Jamf, VMWare, Kandji etc
• Manage end user requests and escalated incidents through the support queue.
• Manage regular patching of Apple & other 3rd Party Vulnerabilities.
• Experience in setting up user enrolment for migrating existing Macs to management
• Provide Level II / III support to deployed systems & end users.
• Work with customers to determine their functional needs, translating customer needs into hardware/software requirements for existing or new hardware/software applications.
• Maintain & manage macOS device inventory in CMDB.
• Prepare & maintain process documents for macOS environment.
• Build, and test the updated configuration of Jamf for management of Macs
• Participate in functional or user acceptance testing.
• Integrate and manage Jamf integration with Intune
• Strong knowledge on Apple auto-enrollment, VPP and Enterprise Connect implementation 
• Review and document functionality of existing macOS Environment.
• Create test plans, installation guides & operating procedures for the environment.
• Test, document & perform macOS infrastructure component upgrades.
• Monitor and recognize constraints in infrastructure and identify alternates.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Experience

• Five or more years of current macOS architecture / support experience leveraging tools such as:
  • Jamf Pro, VMWare, Kandji or any MDM client
  • Apple Business Manager
• Creating, managing & troubleshooting configuration Profiles, Application Policies, AD – macOS Certificates
• Knowledge & experience with macOS Servers, Configuration profiles, Apple Push Notification
• Experience in process / administration and automation using Shell Scripting (Bash/Zsh), Swift, Apple Scripting.
