Nuveen is seeking a Lead, Trade Support loan closer to support the Leveraged Finance platform, comprising $40 billion of AUM and a broad offering of below investment grade credit capabilities, including traditional public credit (Loans and High Yield), structured credit/CLOs, and hedged credit (Long-Short, Convert Arb and Distressed). The individual is responsible for the closing and servicing of bank loans investment operations, and will work closely with legal, trading desks, portfolio managers, and portfolio accounting.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Support leadership in managing the business' relationships with IT, Operations, Compliance, Internal Audit and Risk Management to strengthen controls and processes
- Execute critical change initiatives and projects that enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business management practices within the assigned area by identifying and planning the execution of best practices
- Analyze and assess area data and metrics to ensure that it supports strategic decision making and evidences progress against strategic objectives
- Develop and implement project plans, prepare reports, monitor performance, and plan resource (both physical and human) utilization
- Develop periodic and ad hoc reports, presentation materials and communications for use in various internal forums and committees
- Oversee procedures to ensure compliance and risk policies are properly implemented and current

Required Skills:
- 3+ years of related leveraged loan/structured products experience
- Experience with the syndicated bank loan market
- Experience with on of the following, Order Management, Trade Processing, and Bank Loan Systems: (Clear Par, Wall Street Office, Lend Amend, and Bloomberg)
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting or similar field
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with an ability to understand complex workflows
- Good understanding of operational risks and controls
- Team player, detail oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize effectively
- Self starter with a high level of energy
- Proficient utilization of Microsoft Excel and other MS OFFICE products
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, poised under pressure, and customer service skills are necessary attributes to succeed in role
Potential Salary: $105,150.00 USD
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
