About the Global Client Services

Global Client Services strives to make it easier for our clients to work with Nuveen – and to increase client retention and satisfaction. Global Client Services works to enhance our overall client experience and specifically oversees and improves new client boarding, day-to-day servicing requirements, investment reporting and capital-markets support. In addition to day-to-day servicing needs, the Global Client Services organization also oversees our New Business and Retention Services practice, which aims to deliver high quality information requests to showcase our investment capabilities to prospective and existing client and consultant relationships.

About Private Fund Services

Private Funds Services (PFS) is a centre of excellence within Global Client Services. PFS has teams in the US and Europe that partner with Client Services, Sales and Relationship Management to deliver seamless client service for investors of Nuveen’s private investment funds. The team is responsible for ensuring that all activities outlined in each fund’s respective legal documentation are undertaken and within a timely manner. This includes ensuring that reporting requirements are met, obligatory fund meetings are scheduled and attended, and any ad hoc communications are sent to investors. The Private Funds Services team members are subject matter experts on the products and funds which they support. 

Key responsibilities will include:

Private Funds Services Management

  • Partner with Client Services to maintain a first class, seamless investor experience.

  • Work with specific fund teams, building relationships and knowledge of the funds to support our investors proactively and to be subject matter experts so as to support Client Services, Distribution and Sales colleagues.

  • Ensure all activities in a fund’s prospectus are adhered to.

  • Respond to client queries and requests promptly and effectively, ensuring client expectations are met.

  • Proactively anticipate clients’ requirements by maintaining regular contact with Client Services and communicate any concerns to the fund team.

  • Organise and co-ordinate fund-related events, e.g., Investor Days, webinars, site visits and Investment Advisory Committee meetings.

  • Maintain information on the in-house client relationship management system ensuring that it is complete and accurate for each investor, as needed (e.g., Salesforce mailing lists).

  • Participate in any team related projects as required.

Client transitions related work

  • Partner with Client Services to own client on-boarding / off-boarding and ensure that it is undertaken in a timely manner.

  • Ensure AML / KYC and compliance obligations are met and kept up to date in line with corporate policy and in accordance with local regulation.

  • Provide support to investors as required during the secondary market trading process as appropriate.

Reporting

  • Review fund reports produced by the Information Delivery team (quarterly investment reports, annual / interim report and accounts) to ensure that they are of a high quality.

  • Ensure side letter obligations are co-ordinated and delivered on time.

  • Support investors with Operational Due Diligence requirements.

Supporting internal partners and external supplier relations

  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, including investment teams, finance, performance, research, sustainability, legal, risk, marketing, distribution and compliance.

  • Liaise with third parties to ensure technical support is received on all issues concerning administration, investment accounting and custody.

  • Serve as an escalation point for and internal resource to Client Services to satisfy client requests submitted to Distribution or Client Services directly.

Oversight & Governance

  • Ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to.

  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes that may impact Nuveen’s ability to properly service clients.

Technical Skills & Qualifications Required

  • Degree educated

  • Experience in institutional client services and/or private fund operations preferred

  • Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Must be computer literate and able to work with bespoke systems (training will be provided as required)

  • Good communication skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Must be highly motivated and capable of working independently with the ability to perform well under pressure

  • Be a strong team player
