Credt Risk Analyst

Responsible for ensuring that an appropriate framework exists for the monitoring, reporting and analysis of credit risk.  This includes ensuring relevant publications are prepared for the business units, senior management, regulatory reporting, risk officers, management committees, the Board of Directors and other stakeholders.  In addition to preparing publications, responsible for adapting content as requested to maintain relevancy in changing business environment. This includes analytical research and risk reporting to support management decision making and strategic objectives.

This position plays an integral role in the design and development of standard reports and dashboards, leads ad hoc analytical projects, and supports Executive Committee presentation materials.  While this role is primarily focused on reporting and analysis, the ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude and understanding of database concepts.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Analyzes credit risk for simple, non-sensitive accounts while following guidelines established by the company.

  • Provides proposals on credit extension for a client to management.

  • Develops and maintains information on the financial background of prospective customers.

  • Develops risk management policies and credit examination procedures; ensures that all loan programs comply with established standard and policies.

  • Takes an active role in the design, development, and production of monthly MIS reporting, Credit Committee presentations, and KPI dashboards to support portfolio monitoring and strategy.

  • Undertake analytical projects to support quarterly earnings, regulatory disclosures, analyst, investor, and Rating Agency inquiries and due diligence support.
     

Qualifications

  • 2 Years Required; 3 Years Preferred

  • University (Degree), Preferred

  • 2 years of analytical experience with SAS

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years of analytical experience with SAS
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

Potential Salary: $74,300.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
