Job Title: Core Infrastructure Analyst
Business Area: Production Services
Position Summary: Describe below the primary purpose and function of this job
The Core Infrastructure Analyst plays a vital role in maintaining critical infrastructure and system availability. The primary function of the Core Infrastructure Analyst within IT Production Services is to quickly identify and address issues that compromise the integrity of business critical systems.
Other objectives -
•Ensures stability and reliability of infrastructure components through proactive maintenance and incident resolution
•Improves and automates tasks associated with building, configuring, patching, and upgrading core infrastructure platforms, hardware, and software
•Operation and maintenance of core infrastructure platforms and cross-platform integration support
•Implements new infrastructure components in a systematic manner adhering to established standards
•Continual service improvement of infrastructure platforms
Key Duties & Responsibilities: List up to 5 key duties and responsibilities, management responsibilities and time spent (if applicable)
Mandatory Skills
- Perform critical monitoring for production systems and take required steps to remediate business impact.
- Provide support for critical batch processing activities – Autosys and CA7
- Perform routine maintenance recycles for critical applications and servers.
- Perform Basic Incident Management/Triage
- Basic Unix and/or Windows skill for Level 1 tasks
- Willing to work in 16*7 environment.
- Basic Mainframe skill for Level 1 tasks (Optional)
Basic skills
•Provides 16X7 support to restore failed core infrastructure components, utilizing support tools and vendor support
•Troubleshoots and restores complex issues through the use of technical abilities and tools
•Provides technical guidance, oversight, and mentoring to team members as a subject matter expert
•Demonstrates high responsiveness for technology issues; resolves issues quickly and efficiently
•Provides disaster recovery support by testing, reviewing, and supporting disaster recovery plans on a routine basis
•Supports projects at the request of business partners
•Documents and tracks hardware and software configuration, migration, testing and deployment solutions
