POSITION SUMMARY:
The 10-week summer internship program is designed to challenge students by providing opportunities to provide hand-on experiences, skills training and valuable professional networking to assist students with identifying and building on their career interests. This role gains experience and an overall feel for the company and the financial services industry by attending meetings, delivering presentations, exploring business-specific tasks, and working closely with cross-functional groups to better understand the Nuveen businesses.
The program includes a robust training and onboarding program followed by our ongoing speaker series, lunch-and-learns, and cohort engagement activities, as well as direct access to executive and senior leadership, mentors and previous interns.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Global Client Services
The Global Client Services organization is comprised of three divisions – Client Services, who is tasked with delivering market-leading service to Nuveen clients, New Business Services and Retention Services, who partners with distribution to capitalize on new business opportunities and the retention of clients, and Business Transformation, who focuses on strategic initiatives to enhance the global platform and deliver a superior client experience. As part of the Global Client Services team, this individual will:
- Support client service SME during onboarding of new investors including interfacing with off-shore teams, pulling data required for internal systems from subscription documents.
- Day-to-day team support collaborating with accounting and third party fund administrators to assist with the execution of investor production activity, reporting obligations for 3rd party private funds while tracking until completion.
- Serve as day-to-day operational support for other associates on the team focusing on resolution of complex problems and transactions, gaining experience is to interpret against policies, guidelines or processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve and enhance client reporting, enterprise data, new business proposals and questionnaires, helping Nuveen deliver a differentiated experience to clients with timely execution through digital channels

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Full-time student, currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree
- Graduation date between Winter 2022 and Spring 2024
DESIRED SKILLS (Preferred not required):
- Minimum Overall GPA of 3.0 or better
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in related fields including Accounting, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, Communications, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Mathematics, Risk Management, Statistics or similar degree programs
- Internship experience is a plus
- Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving/analytical skills
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and deliver on commitments
- Previous internship or work experience a plus
- Demonstrated interest within the investment management industry is preferred
- Independent and original thinker
- Self-discipline and self-motivation
- Strong level of integrity with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Minimum of 2 years of working knowledge or academic experience in using Microsoft Office products or similar products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Potential Salary: $20.00 USD
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
