Thought Leadership – Content Manager, Strategic Platforms

The Thought Leadership – Content Manager, Strategic Platforms is the strategic owner of a given topical platform and manages the content, market socialization and internal/external amplification of activity associated with the platform. The Director will work across the Thomson Reuters organization and with external partners to ensure the appropriate levels of content and expertise are being delivered to support the messaging within each platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop the overarching strategy and Thomson Reuters story/messaging/position associated with the topical platform
  • Partner with Content Director to ensure timely, relevant content that aligns with the messaging as well as marketing campaigns
  • Establish a roster of internal and external thought leaders who can be leveraged for writing and speaking engagements associated with the platform and its various sub-themes
  • Identify and leverage external strategic relationships with law schools, associations, clients, etc. to deepen expertise and expand engagements within the platform
  • Develop a series of indices (as appropriate) within the platform to more consistently engage the market with relevant industry data
  • Maintain an 'editorial calendar' for the platform to inform internal and external parties of thought leadership activity associated with the platform's sub-themes
  • Collaborate with Content Director and OU's to align thought leadership activity with marketing campaigns
  • Work closely with Social, PR and Corporate Communications to appropriately amplify thought leadership activity

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales or a related field. Masters degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years b-to-b content strategy – preferably with a blend of content strategy, content management and content analytics experience
  • Proven experience leading change, developing strategy and building consensus – particularly within a highly matrixed organization
  • Strong leadership skills
