Risk is a fast-growing Thomson Reuters Segment, this is a very exciting opportunity to join a business in an innovative and rapidly evolving industry. It focuses on connecting our customers' business to the ever-changing regulatory and risk environment.
- As part of our ongoing dedication to the Risk products we are putting together a new team, from the ground up. This role will take an active part in developing the multiple aspects of testing across the QA team.
- It is expected that the role will focus on both manual testing and automated UI testing, however there will be opportunities to gain exposure to both web services and Performance testing.
- You will be expected to work very closely with your peers across the wider Risk team, thus a commitment to collaborative problem solving and analysis is important. Equally a positive and can-do approach to knowledge sharing is required to succeed in this role.
Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- You will develop both manual and technical tests in-line with QA standards
- You will execute both technical and manual tests as and when needed.
- You will gain a deep understanding of the different testing capabilities across the team
- You will take an active approach in growing the test coverage where required

Essential Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrable experience of the following:
- Manual testing
- Writing structured automated tests
- Test management tools, e.g. Jira
- The defect management lifecycle
- An exposure to source code management tools
- An understanding of the test lifecycle
Desired Skills and Experience:
- In-depth experience across the testing lifecycle (planning, analysis, execution, reporting)
- Good experience using Selenium WebDriver
- Good Java or C# programming skills
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming techniques
- Experience in using technology/tools such as: Selenium WebDriver, JMeter, SOAPUI
