Position Title: Senior QA Engineer

Product or Service:

Connect is a product that has been recently acquired by Thomson Reuters. Our focus is developing packaged products for using Enterprise Risk Management solutions. The product has a great deal of flexibility and can be configured to deliver a wide variety of software modules. A Lot of this configuration is able to be done by non technical people using web based drag and drop techniques.

Role Summary:

The QA Team is being formed to retro-fit Automated QA into the existing Connect Product.

This role for a Business Analyst to work with the QA team Leader to design QA tests and to work with the QA Developers to build the tests. The Successful Candidate will need to have worked with integrated testing tools, such as Selenium, cucumber and be able to work with a small team of testers. Part of this role will also be to design stress tests for various product configurations.

Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • To work within the QA team to design, build and test automated QA testing
  • To learn the Connect Product and how it may be customized
  • To help ensure on time, quality core product releases.
  • To ensure everything related to testing is well documented

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A background in problem solving
  • A strong understanding of QA Techniques, standards and frameworks
  • A keen interest in learning new skills and technologies
  • High standard of documentation of methods and practices.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working in a small team retro fitting QA onto existing products
  • Experience designing tests for Web based applications
  • Experience with Stress testing tools, such as load runner or jMeter
