The London Markets team covers the foreign exchange, European government bond, and European and UK stock markets.
Position: Senior Foreign Exchange Correspondent - JREQ086668
Looking for a job at the heart of the world's biggest stories? Big developments in economics and politics drive currencies, and often vice versa. The London Markets team is looking for a senior correspondent with knowledge and experience of foreign exchange markets to report the news that matters in an area of crucial importance to Reuters clients.
It has already been a busy year in currency markets, and with uncertainties over Brexit and the impact of Trumponomics, there seems little chance it will quieten down. FX is still the world's biggest financial market. But, after scandals over market manipulation, and under pressure from increased regulation and tighter cost control by banks, the market is changing. As some traditional players pull back, others are taking their places to serve corporate and investment community clients. After years of a technological "arms race" between computer-driven trading platforms, the jury is still out over whether the future belongs to man or machine.
