WE ARE LOOKING FOR A NEW COLLEAGUE:
Senior Commercial Contract Negotiator (in German language)
YOU AND YOUR TEAM:
You will join the international Legal Managed Services team based in Gdynia, London, New York and Eagan (MN). Within your role you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial/transactional contracts in German language to ensure that the agreements comply with EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As a Senior Negotiator you will also act as escalation point for Junior Negotiators and the client.
As an integral part of negotiation process, you will work side by side with the project manager and relevant stakeholders in order to ensure that terms of the agreements are within financial and legal guidelines and the documents are executed in a timely manner.

IMPORTANCE OF ROLE:
With the ever-increasing regulatory landscape raising a lot of unanswered questions, our services help global financial institutions navigate through the maze by managing obligations for relationship and transactional documentation. Also, our team supports financial institutions in complying with approaching GDPR deadlines.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Independently or with minimum oversight reviewing, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial/transactional contracts in German language
- Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders in English and German to complete the negotiations and resolve documentation related queries in a timely manner
- Act as escalation point for junior team members and advise them on client positions and best practices
- Work with internal teams to ensure accurate status reporting
DURING THE FIRST WEEKS AT WORK:
You will undergo an intensive onboarding training and attend sessions that will prepare you to perform your daily tasks efficiently and accurately.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS.
- Law degree
- Fluent German, being comfortable working with contracts in German language
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to multi-task, detail-orientated, strong analytical and drafting abilities
- 3-5 years of experience working with commercial contracts and data protection law and/or GDPR
- Experience in supervising or supporting junior lawyers
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Previous experience in working in regulatory remediation projects
- experience in working in the global organization or international law firm
