Position Overview

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior Communications Executive to support communications activity for our financial and risk business in Asia Pacific. The full-time role is located in Hong Kong and reports to the Asia Pacific Head of PR.

The individual will work closely with the Asia Pacific communications team on internal and external communications activities across our financial & risk business. They will also work closely with the global communications team, based in London and New York.

Role Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Asia Pacific communications team to support media relations activities for the business in Hong Kong and Singapore, with the aim of raising the visibility and profile of the financial & risk business in the region
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local and regional media as well as other external influencers and opinion leaders
  • Maintain media lists, track coverage and producing media coverage and metrics reports for Asia Pacific
  • Manage daily media data queries for Asia Pacific
  • Write and distribute communications materials (including media pitches, bylined articles, press releases, etc. as necessary)
  • Manage media data enquiries across the region, working closely with the global team
  • Leverage marketing campaigns and events by working collaboratively with the Hong Kong marketing team
  • Work closely with the global team to leverage global communications initiatives including reports, surveys and research

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Minimum bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in public relations and communications
  • PR experience gained within an agency or in-house PR role; financial or technology backgrounds are preferred
  • Strong English and Chinese language skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Detail-oriented individual with excellent follow through
  • Ability to plan strategic objectives and goals
