Sales Specialist, Risk

based in Warsaw.

Governance, Risk & Compliance ("GRC") is the fast-growing business segment within Thomson Reuters. Our focus is connecting our customers' business to the ever-changing regulatory environment, and client groups includes compliance, audit, legal and risk functions in financial services, law firms, accounting firms, regulators, insurance, energy and other industries undergoing regulatory change. The business currently has revenues of over $250M and has over 1,250 employees located in major locations in London, New York, Washington DC, Minnesota, Dubai and Sydney. It is the world's largest dedicated GRC business and has over 10,000 customers. Industry expectations are that governance, risk and compliance market will grow rapidly worldwide over the next few years and Thomson Reuters is well positioned to capitalise on this strategic opportunity. The business is expected to grow at double digits or more each year over the next 5 years. Governance, Risk & Compliance is part of Risk in the Financial & Risk division of Thomson Reuters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF ROLE:

  • Driving new business and developing activities across all GRC product lines into a defined territory
  • Building lasting relationships with senior level customer contacts in Compliance, Risk & Operations as well as Regulatory Bodies for close follow up of all regulatory framework with purpose to develop business for Thomson Reuters Enterprise and Risk solutions
  • Accurately forecast sales pipeline via salesforce.com with weekly, monthly and quarterly focus
  • Research and develop territory to create focus lists of potential customers
  • Leveraging market research, domain, and solution selling expertise to determine customer needs and create optimal sales strategy
  • Maintaining up-to-date understanding of industry & regulatory trends and technical developments that affect target markets with the purpose to develop business for Thomson Reuters Enterprise and Risk solutions
  • Establish, collaborate, develop, and maintain industry or other business segment contacts that lead to sales and robust pipelines
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations that educate the customer and shorten sales cycle
  • Developing sales and marketing proposals for customers on GRC products and services
  • Provide product feedback and enhancements required to penetrate new markets or accounts
  • Travel to customer sites as needed to close opportunities and develop relationship with key personnel, decision makers, and C-Level Executives

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Bachelor degree in business economics or equivalent degree
  • Proven track record of selling high complex solutions (minimum 3 years)
  • Sales experience in professional services and/or software
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise on GRC value proposition
  • Ability to relate and effectively interact with C-level executives
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently & collectively
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Fluent in English is a must
  • Ability to understand and articulate the strategic value of the GRC offerings with strong business acumen
