Market Specialist Front Office - Fixed Income

Overview

The market specialist role provides deep domain knowledge to prospects, clients and internal account teams. This role requires a strong understanding of the Fixed Income markets as well as expertise in Asset Management, Mortgages and Corporate Treasury.

The successful candidate will typically have 8 years' financial industry experience with a proven track record in client facing role preferable selling into fixed income departments and knows advisory\banking workflow.

This role is pivotal to the sales process, requiring coordination with colleagues in Account Management, Product Management, and other teams within Thomson Reuters. To be successful you will need a structured but creative approach to problem solving, have tenacity and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, spot project risks and opportunities and be able to prioritise quickly.

The location of the role will be in Chicago, but would consider NYC with travel to Chicago. LA.

Responsibilities

  • Eikon desktop demonstrations to prospects and clients
  • Respond quickly to customer needs, working with urgency to propose creative solutions that deliver demonstrable value
  • Deliver Team Gross Sales number by quarter/year
  • Proactive prospecting & Opportunity Creation

Qualifications:

  • Proven domain expertise in a sales or pre-sales function - Identifying opportunities, listening and leading client meetings. Questioning and clarifying detailed requirements and presenting Eikon to customers.
  • Strong financial markets knowledge with solid understanding of how different market participants interact and connect
  • Experience engaging and coordinating with business, technical and operations stakeholders
  • Creative thinker and ability to generate new ideas
  • Strong presentation skills (verbal & written)
  • Ability to organize and execute a sales plan and manage stakeholder expectations
