Overview

The FrontOffice Market Specialist - Equities role provides deep domain knowledgeto prospects, clients and internal account teams alike. This rolerequires a strong understanding of the equity tradingcommunity. The candidate must be an expert in equity tradingworkflow in addition to a well rounded knowledge of the financial markets.

Thesuccessful candidate will typically have 8 years' financial industryexperience, as a trader within either buyside or sellside equity focusedfirm, who is an expert in the equity tradingworkflow, with a proven understanding of EMS, OMS, trade routing, andindications of interest. Strong excel capabilities are required asthe candidate will be selling Thomson Reuter's Eikon and Eikon Officesolutions.

Whilenot critical, strong knowledge of the commodities trading space would beconsidered an important additional strength.

Thisrole is pivotal to the sales process, requiring coordination with colleagues inAccount Management, Product Proposition, and Strategy teams within ThomsonReuters. To be successful you will need a structured but creativeapproach to problem solving, have tenacity and the ability to manage multiplestakeholders, take ownership of initiatives, identify strategic risks andopportunities and be able to prioritize quickly.

Thelocation of the role will be based in New York City.

Responsibilities

  • Close collaboration and alignment with Account teams, Product Proposition and Strategy.
  • Be able to articulate the product roadmap and value proposition.
  • Communicate important industry events and information to the greater team.
  • Provide Eikon desktop demonstrations to prospects and clients.
  • Respond quickly to customer needs, working with urgency to propose creative solutions that deliver demonstrable value.
  • Deliver Team Gross Sales number by quarter/year.
  • Proactive prospecting & Opportunity Creation.
  • Continually enhance your skills.

  • Creative thinker and ability to generate new ideas.
  • Strong presentation skills (verbal & written).
  • Ability to organize and execute a sales plan and manage stakeholder expectations.
