Overview

We are looking fora Markets Specialist for Commodities & Supply Chain leveraging expertknowledge of commodity market dynamics in:

NaturalGas and Power along with Coal and Carbon

Knowledge in any ofthe following would be a plus:

Crude& Refined Products

Petrochemicals

Agriculture(Grains and Softs)

Metals(Precious and Base)

The role provides deep domain knowledge to prospects,clients and internal account teams. Thesuccessful candidate will typically have 12 years' of energy/commoditiesindustry experience with a proven track record in client facing role preferablyselling into the energy/commodities space and/or working for companies withinthe industry and applicable business units.

This role is two-fold: 1) Ability to effectivelynavigate within client organizations, develop and build meaningful, lastingrelationships with influential contacts (including C-level) in all key businessareas with, for example, IOGs, Refiners, Traders, Upstream, Midstream,Downstream, Producers, etc. To be seenand known as the Subject Matter Expert. 2)Is pivotal to the sales process, requiring coordination with colleagues inAccount Management, Product Management, and other teams within ThomsonReuters.

To be successful you will need a structured but creative approachto problem solving, have tenacity and the ability to manage multiplestakeholders, spot project risks and opportunities and be able to prioritizequickly.

The location of the rolewill be considered for Houston, NY or Chicago.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years' energy/commoditiesindustry experience with in-depth knowledge of energy/commodities markets andbusiness.
  • Must possess strong existing clientrelationships within the industry and a proven track record in partnering withclients at senior management at all levels.
  • Must possess capabilities in analytical problem solving; strategicplanning; financial and general business acumen; high integrity, commitment andcredibility; objectives driven.
  • Strong presentation skills (verbal and written); creative thinkerand ability to generate new ideas; social skills.
  • Presenter at conferences, key industry forums/events, clientbriefings.

Education:

  • College/ university degree and relevant industry experience
