Manager, Consolidations

General:

This role is one of a key contributor in the consolidation, preparation and analysis of Thomson Reuters' consolidated financial statements. The financial statements and accompanying disclosures prepared by the Consolidations team must be done timely and accurately, and must comply with IFRS and regulatory requirements. Location of this position in Stamford is critical to the success of TR's reporting process.

Position Description:

Responsible for the preparation and analysis of the IFRS Consolidated IFRS and Free Cash Flow statements

  • Responsible for application of new and existing accounting pronouncements to comply with IFRS
  • Liaise with consolidation team managers to ensure understanding of underlying company activity and accounting treatment of items
  • Adequate analysis of all lines of cash flow statement to support external disclosures, including capital expenditures both on a cash and accrual basis
  • Assist FP&A free cash flow team with commentary and analysis
  • Analysis of and preparation of free cash flow by SBU to enhance group's understanding of cash flow drivers for external disclosure

Provide cash flow required disclosures to External Reporting group for financial statement inclusion

  • Liaise with External Reporting Group to understand new requirements for disclosure
  • Develop and execute plans for efficient collection of data for disclosures

Lead contact for PwC on cash flow statement inquiries and audit assistance

Special projects as required

Minimum of 15 years' experience in accounting, experience with consolidations preferred. CPA preferred.

Strong PC and financial consolidation application skills are critical. High familiarity with Excel. Working knowledge of SAP, SAS or other financial reporting applications is preferable.

Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or finance.
