Job Duties:
- Lead team in architecting and maintain Big data software applications built with Hadoop Echo System
- Participate in Agile development including Paired Programming
- Collaborate with domain Experts on requirements, specifications, and acceptance testing
- Write Unit Tests to develop code and verify functionality
- Learn, suggest and implement new technologies/techniques
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- 6 years Software Development/Engineering experience
- 6 years of experience in application development in Java or C# and .NET framework
- 3 years of experience AngularJS
- 2 years' experience in building application with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka and Impala
- 2 years experience with microservices, distributed systems
- Experience with AWS plus
- 5 years of experience with Object Oriented Programming (OOP) techniques
- Some experience with Oracle & PL/SQL demonstrating strong relational database skills
- Strong skills in the areas of unit testing, performance analysis and debugging
- Knowledge of Design Patterns and Agile software development methodologies
- Good communication/collaborative skills and a committed team player
- Knowledge of dependency injection
- Member of at least one Extreme Programming (XP)/Agile development team a huge plus
