Accounting & Finance Internship (Summer 2018)

Thomson Reuters Legal, a leading provider of integrated information solutions to legal, tax, accounting, compliance and business professionals worldwide, is looking for Finance & Accounting Summer Interns.

Our Finance & Accounting Summer Internships are designed to give professional finance/accounting experience. Interns will work on specific projects and be involved in day to day finance and accounting operations, with exposure to senior leadership. Training specific to our industry and applications will be offered. Interns will also have opportunities to network with other interns at Thomson Reuters.

Examples of past projects include:

  • Complete a customer-based revenue analysis for a recent acquisition
  • Identify key drivers of revenue attrition and develop recommendations for improved performance
  • Develop a dashboard of critical success measures for an operations department
  • Review compensation expense planning to drive efficiencies
  • Generate capital project performance reporting

  • Working towards a bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (Graduation date December 2018 to May 2019)
  • Previous internship with related experience is desired
  • Knowledge of financial and general accounting principles, practices, and procedures
  • Demonstrated skills in spreadsheet and other computer applications used in financial reporting and analysis, with an emphasis in Excel and Access
  • Good analytical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be comfortable in a team environment with changing priorities and time pressures
