Job Description

Main Responsibilities

Functional Expertise

Acts as primary resource for team work products and processes.

Product Administration

Provides day-to-day supervision of work activities to meet product and quality standards and target.
Verifies the work of team for accuracy and completeness.
Covers for team members as and when required.
Monitors workflow for team or assigned area.
May prepare production and administrative reports as needed
May have budget responsibility.

Team Leadership
Participates in performance management process for direct reports.
Responsible for developing, motivating and coaching of staff

Identifies training needs and coordinates training activities.
Provides input into hiring and promotional decisions.

Project Management/ Process Improvement
Participates in process improvement initiatives/efforts at the Team level, recommending changes to improve productivity and quality.

Effectively communicates across various levels of the organization.
Builds and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Scope and Impact

Manages a team to meet performance objectives and results; focuses majority of time

managing team as well assisting day-to-day activities as needed
Has knowledge of specific department or function and basic supervisory knowledge and skills

Balances and shifts resources within functional area/team based on changes to priorities.
Decisions indirectly affect the performance of a department or function and are guided by policies, procedures and business plan
Identifies and resolves technical, operational, and team problems. Understands key stakeholder needs and identifies solutions.
