Business Unit: Legal UKI

Our Legal organisation focuses on connecting our customers' businesses to the ever-changing legal and regulatory environment. We provide critical online and print information, decision support tools, software and services to lawyers who practice in law firms, in corporate legal departments and in the public sector. Position Title: Customer Insight Specialist

Position Type: Permanent

Role Purpose/ Summary:

Manage customer insight and help articulate strategy for the various customer segments we serve.

This role is based within the Legal UKI Segments and Strategy team and reports to the Director of Public Sector, Academic and Bar.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Support Segment leads in gathering customer insight through arranging and conducting interviews and surveys and developing networks across segments.
  • Conduct ongoing market and customer insight analysis to understand customer needs and market trends in order to identify business opportunities and inform long term segment strategy.
  • Help the business better serve our customers by assisting Segment leads in articulating the voice of the customer internally.
  • Assist Segment leads in converting new value propositions into actionable business cases.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A customer champion and external relationship builder
  • Demonstrated experience and confidence in customer engagement
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual and persuasive skills
  • Able to analyse and present data to support timely decision making
  • Capacity for independent research and market analysis
  • A self starter with the ability to independently manage complex, conflicting priorities
  • Experience of developing new products, value propositions and business cases
  • Able to assimilate new information at speed

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Legal qualification/experience an advantage but not essential
  • An interest in business analysis, business strategy and business disruption
  • MBA / Business / Economics qualifications
