Correspondent, Argentina

Job Description

We are seeing a dynamic correspondent with a track record of breaking news and developing initiative stories to work in our busy Buenos Aires bureau. As part of a small team, the successful candidate will closely follow the economic crisis in Latin Americas third-largest economy as it heads to elections next year. With one of the highest rates of inflation in the world and its economy heading back to recession, Argentina is looking more unstable than it did just six months ago and doubts are emerging about President Mauricio Macris reelection bid. We are seeking a correspondent with the ability to turn from speedily covering breaking news to delivering insightful analysis and investigative reporting. The ability to tell news stories colorfully in multi-media formats is essential. We need a team player who can work closely with our highly experienced Spanish language journalists to collaborate closely on stories. Preferably, the successful candidate will have good knowledge of Latin America, particularly Argentina, and strong Spanish language skills.
