The Global Customer Operation (GCO) team is based in London and Gdynia and are responsible for the life cycle management of News Agency contracts worldwide. The team has specialist knowledge of News Agency products and contracts and is the hub implementing Media Commercial Policy and Compliance. GCO provide key reports for Sales, Product, Finance, Compliance and Management.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Working with Account Managers around the world, this role manages the end to end life of News Agency contracts. Responsibilities include a thorough knowledge of commercial policy and sound understanding of contract issues and rights. Using data pulled from the database, this role will apply business analytics to aid decisions around product and business strategies.

Working with a global team, the post requires a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, capable of self motivated task management, working to deadlines, good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team as well as taking initiative in a dynamic and pressured environment.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of business analytics and operations
  • Experience of operational technologies, databases and reporting tools, particularly Tableau
  • Sound experience in Word, PPT, advanced Excel skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good written English language skills (for drafting legal documents)
  • Good numeracy
  • Good communication skills, specifically in terms of dealing with global internal and external customers
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritise work under pressure
  • Ability to self motivate and meet targets
  • Team player

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of the news and media industry
  • Additional languages
