Project Summary and Position Overview:

FIFXMM Content Pricing team is responsible for collection, maintenance, analysis and dissemination of high quality reference and pricing content for Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange and Money Market clients using Eikon, Elektron, DataScope and other products. The profile pertains to project deliveries and working on strategic initiatives spanning across different areas. The FIFXMM Pricing group covers vast asset classes within Fixed Income, FX and Money Market instruments including Government & Corp Bonds, CDS, CDS Indices, FX Spots, Forwards, Options, NDFs, IRS, Repos, CDs, CPs, Realtime Analytics content, benchmarks, etc.

Purpose of this role is to provide subject matter expertise and skills within the FIFXMM Pricing group to drive strategic projects, spanning different areas including regulation, with a specific focus on FRTB and supporting the operations teams on the end to end workflow. It is a complex role which requires advanced knowledge of OTC content, Thomson Reuters products, and related tools, infrastructures and databases involved in the management of this content. No direct financial scope, but decisions on testing, for example, must take into account financial implications, both short and long term. Active and successful collaboration with various internal teams from business representatives to development teams is central to the role. Expected to strategically influence and guide the area of specialty.

Essential Responsibilities

Support production teams and deliver on projects related to emerging regulation in the OTC space such as FRTB. This is a core responsibility of the role.

Work closely with the production teams and stakeholders to ensure project deliveries are communicated as required. Also supporting the team in building stronger process and systems knowledge.

Instrumental in designing and rolling out new processes and workflows.

Prepares & presents formal Business Requirements Specification documents that clearly communicate the business requirement for a given project within the expected timeline.

Ensures effective communication of information relevant to own area of responsibility and also affecting the larger group re: changes, developments, news, regulations, etc.

Provides expertise & creativity in developing new methods of working which focus on cost-effectiveness & resource efficiency.

Maintains up to date data set expertise & works to develop further content & technical knowledge.

Juggles multiple projects at once, often times including high profile projects.

Clarifies content policy issues and collection methodologies in collaboration with content operations and development teams.

Supports the production teams on complex data queries from both internal and external clients and provides support to stakeholders.

Facilitate problem solving on data and product issues, including database infrastructure and maintenance procedures knowing who to involve and when.

Works with and involves cross functional teams to provide Root Cause Analysis to identify solutions in problem areas.

Identifies potential data improvements and consults with content operations and related groups for possible implementation.

Provides ongoing training and mentoring to the team, always with a team-oriented attitude. Play lead role in formulating and documenting new training plans, process flows, methods of work, etc.

Ensures timely and successful implementation of content enhancements.

Effectively maintains and manages relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business Management or a related analytical field) or equivalent.

Required Skills:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is an ability to work under the pressure of tight deadlines.

Knowledge on Financial markets, with strong focus in the area of Fixed Income, Foreign exchange, Money Markets, OTC derivatives, Regulation, etc.

Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Influencing skills, with an ability to clearly articulate and convince on key matters

Oral and written communication skills, and the ability to clearly and concisely convey information to all levels of an organization.

Flexibility and openness to a variety of projects and ability to learn various software tools and databases to drive business forward.

Ability to work well within the context of a team.

Knowledge across a wide range of Realtime and reference data systems, with an understanding of end to end workflow preferred.

Desired Skills:

Minimum 6 years of markets experience, working in the financial services industry.

Minimum 6 years of working knowledge of FI and/or FXMM content and related systems.

Strong knowledge of Thomson Reuters products, including Elektron networks, Eikon, databases and end-to-end processes.

Understanding of new regulation in the financial markets pertaining to Over the Counter instruments and asset classes, such as MIFID II and FRTB
