Role Overview

Reuters is looking for a dynamic journalist and team leader to head the busy Taipei bureau. The successful candidate will be adept at leading a varied and eventful news file, including coverage ranging from technology heavyweights TSMC and Foxconn and Taiwan's relations with China and the U.S., to a vibrant political and cultural scene, monetary policy and natural disasters.

She/he will ensure fast and accurate handling of breaking news and develop sources and ideas to generate exclusive and insightful stories that make the Reuters file stand apart. We are looking for a self-starter and inspirational leader who will maintain smooth coordination with multimedia colleagues as well as between the international and Chinese language services. The successful candidate will also be a strong communicator who works effectively with colleagues in other centers, from Beijing to Washington and elsewhere.
