The goal of the change management process within Thomson Reuters is to create, communicate and refine the standard policies and procedures that are used for efficient and prompt handling of all infrastructure changes. These methods and procedures are designed to minimize the impact of change related incidents upon service quality which results in higher service levels for our customers. the change manager assists in managing the change management process within Platforms Group Opes with the goal to ensure that all policies and procedures are well understood and being followed by all parties involved in the Change Management process. The Change Manager will create reports using existing tools (such SM9) and assist in producing reports for gathering useful metrics to track the Change Management process. for example, the volume of changes (weekly, monthly, yearly) the number of successful changes, unsuccessful/partially successful changes etc. The Change Manager may sometimes serve as a liaison between the different teams involved in the Change Management process, Support, Dev, Capability, Project etc in order to 'drive' the process. The Change Manager may also coordinate and conduct training sessions for anyone unfamiliar with the Change Management process, ie face to face sessions, Webex, providing documentation etc.
